Government
Government organizations are wide-ranging and multi-faceted—as are the CRA projects you can explore with Government and Public Health Services (GPHC) at PPD. Since 1990, our small, nimble, project-centric team has provided full-, multi-, and single-service clinical, regulatory, and quality support to U.S. government and commercial clients worldwide. GPHS supports a variety of research programs with a diverse set of full medical-product-development and clinical-support services. These include full-service clinical trials, regulatory support contracts, clinical site monitoring contracts, statistical and data coordinating centers (SDCCs), and clinical research operations and management support (CROMS) contracts.
best-fit characteristics
Are you wondering whether you would thrive within GPHS at PPD? If you’re a CRA with a strong desire to contribute to public health endeavors and help advance medical knowledge, consider joining this talented team. It’s the perfect setting to gain experience in a variety of therapeutic areas and unique client studies, processes, and systems.
Your attributes and experience
While the ideal candidate for GPHS has experience working on a government contract or at an institution performing government-funded research, this kind of background is not required. The government funds a wide variety of research and clinical monitoring projects, with infectious diseases as the primary therapeutic area of focus. Others include transplants, allergies, immunology, and mental health, and experience in any of these areas is helpful. We look for CRAs at all levels of experience, from beginning monitors through senior and principal CRAs. Individuals with a background as a study coordinator, nurse, pharmacist, and/or working knowledge of other medical/life-science areas generally do quite well with GPHS.
Skills you can attain here
What can you learn as a part of GPHS at PPD? You’ll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team focused on quality and a strong desire to improve public health. Many of our projects are multi-year, long-term programs that offer stability and the chance for CRAs to become subject-matter experts. In addition, we often use both PPD systems and client systems, which affords the opportunity to train on and learn a wide variety of platforms.
