Lead CRA

You can play a key role in helping our CTMs (Clinical Trial Managers) produce the effective trial results clients need to achieve their goals. As a Lead CRA, your support will allow them to manage the clinical portion of the project more effectively and ultimately produce a higher-quality clinical deliverable. Retaining management responsibility for one or two sites at a time, you’ll have a strong understanding of the monitoring needs and challenges of each project, offering insight that can provide very valuable support to the CTM. Pave the way to positive patient outcomes in the role of Lead CRA with PPD.

best-fit characteristics

Are you an experienced Senior or Principal CRA looking to get exposure to the CTM role? Are you trying to determine if the CTM position might be a good future career move? If so, then Lead CRA might be just the right post for you. Here, you can develop management and leadership skills and use them within a setting where you’re making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Your attributes and experience

This role requires current status as a proactive Senior or Principal CRA with at least six months of experience at PPD with a strong working knowledge of procedural documents. We’ll also expect you to demonstrate exceptional behavioral competencies, such as leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. To be eligible, you must be identified, proposed, and approved for Lead CRA training at the country level by your line manager, be in the process of completing said training, or have completed this training. Once you fill out the Lead CRA Nomination Form, Central Resourcing will consider you among the other eligible CRAs competing for Lead roles.

Skills you can attain here

As a Lead CRA, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about and be trained in various CTM tasks. These include management, leadership, conflict-management, and communication skills, all of which you’ll gain by overseeing the CRA team. In addition, you’ll have access to tracking tools that you can use to round out your experience in this rewarding role. If you’d like to learn more, additional tasks that may be delegated to a Lead CRA by a CTM are set out in the “Lead CRA Delegation Guidelines,” which are located on the Clinical Manager pages of the Clinical Monitoring inFRONT site.
